Janki was founded by Mr. Sanjay Thakur in the year 2015, Sanjay sir owns a Seed company (Janki seeds & Research Pvt Ltd) which was started in the year 2000 with a vision to multiply desi variety of seeds in different regions. Sanjay sir worked with Mahabeej (Govt. Seed company) for 3 years & Basant Agrotech India Limited for another 4 years. During the tenure he observed that to get better yield farmers started shifting towards Hybrid & Research variety of seeds & also due to continuously changing of seeds the soil health drastically went down. During the last 15 years Sanjay sir has inspired lot of farmers to grow local desi varieties of seeds organically in their fields also thought how to preserve & make your own seeds. Also explained the farmers benefits of growing desi local variety on soil & human health. But over the years he saw that farmers hesitated to grow these varieties & organic farming due to low yield & very low demand. And because of this reason he always wanted to start something to help nature & human. In 2015 he started manufacturing edible oil from the raw material procured by the farmers who are practicing organic farming and growing the local desi variety and started giving it to his near & dear ones. By the watching the response for the product later in 2016 Mr. Sanjay Thakur & Mr. Abhishek Tiwari collaborated to take this vision forward to every person of the country.
