Property and uses.
It is colorless transparent liquid and is soluble with various organic solvents. It will decompose and form trimethyl silanol and hexamethyl disilicone chain if exposed to air
1i It can be applied to Silicone rubber, methyl-vinyl to improve its tearing toughness.
2i If stuffed by the gaseous phase(SiO2) treated by hexamethyl disilazane, the mechanical strength of silicone rubber, binding quality and transparency of silicon sulfide rubber under room temperature can be largely improved
3i It can be used in the testing for molecular weight and its distribution of high polymer.
4i As silylating agent in synthesis of beta-lactam antibiotics
