Bactacheck Bottle:-
This method is meant for checking microbiological quality of water. Water borne diseases like diarrhoea and jaundice are caused by polluted water supply.

Method of testing water
* Prior to conducting test please wash hands thoroughly with soap
* Dry and sterile media are provided in the screw capped bottle which is ready for use

Bactacheck Bottle filled with test water up to Arrow Level:-
Fill the water to be tested up to the arrow level. Shake the bottle gently after 5 minutes. The following changes may be seen. The contents will be yellowish brown in colour keep the bottle at 25oC to 37oC for 24-48 hours or keep the bottle in the pocket while sleeping in night so that it remains at body temperature.

Bactacheck Bottle with test water no change in colour after 24 hours. Water is fit for Drinking:-
* Observe the colour of the solution
* No change in colour: Water is fit for Drinking

Bactacheck Bottle with test water turned in to the black colour after 24 hours. Water is unfit for Drinking:-
Water in the bottle turns Black: It indicates the presence of Salmonella or Citrobacter in water

Cautions:-
* Do not drink water from vial in any case
* On completion of the test add few drops of some disinfectant (Dettol, Phenyl etc ) and destroy bottle
* Keep beyond the reach of the children.
