Key Features
The
design of guide wheels depend on their type and installation in through
flor part of the turbine. The guide wheels with shut blades mostly in
high pressure parts are made with welded gratings. Blade profiles are
inserted into rings, welded up and as an entire grating inserted and
welded up into internal disc and external rim of the guide wheel. This
type of design will use drawn profiles. In some cases the guide blades
are made of forged pieces and likewise in drawn profile they welded up
after machining. In long blades of a variable profile used in
low-pressure will be chosen so called aerodynamical profile blades. The
blade itself is cast from steel and after profile machining cast
together with the guide wheel.
