Key Features
The set up consists of a glass column partially filled with sand.
A heater in the form of cylinder is placed in the bed to heat the sand.
Compressed air supply from end user in laboratory will be provided and is fed at the bottom of the column. Flow rate of air is measured using orificemeter and manometer.
The heater input can be controlled by the Digital Temperature Controller.
Temperature sensors are provided to measure the temperature of air inlet and air outlet.
The whole set-up is well designed and arranged on a rigid structure painted with industrial PU Paint.

To calculate heat transfer coefficient of the fluidized bed.
Utilities Required
Electricity Supply: 1 Phase, 220 V AC, 50 Hz, 5-15 Amp. combined socket with earth connection (Earth voltage should be less than 5 volts)
Compressed Air Supply: 1 CFM @ 2 Bar, with end connection for 6 x 8 mm PU tubing.
Floor area: 1. m x 0.75 m
