BWf in technical partnership with Material De Fond Et D'Industrie, France introduced the first heavy duty semi-mobile skid mounted feeder breakers on 15 June 1984 for Coal India Limited's subsidiaries: Western Coalfields Limited ("WCL") and South Eastern Coalfields Limited ("SECL"). This model was developed to be both flexible in its application, i.e. mobile and to meet the arduous conditions of Indian opencast coal mines.
