Heater capacities are determined based on the application, dimensions are decided based on the availability of space and allowable watt densities. Immersion Heaters can be used to heat gasses or fluid ranging from water to corrosive solutions, oils with varying viscosities in an open or enclosed tank. Immersion heaters can be classified on the basis of direct heating and indirect heating.
