The instruments is designed for evaluating stiffness and resilient qualities of paper, plastics, cardboard, light metallic sheets, foil and other flexible material having comparatively strong bending resistance.

Specimen is bent by 15 degree at a constant speed and when it becomes 50 mm. in load length, bending moment required to bent specimen is measured in gsm unit and the stiffness of the material is determined. Rotation occur clockwise and counter clockwise, so that stiffness can be measured in both the directions.

One end of the test piece is easily fastened into the clamp. The maximum force required to bend the test piece to a specified angle is presented directly on the digital panel meter.

The UEC electronic stiffness Tester is easy to handle and calibrate. It is fast and efficient & paper board and intended for determining the bending resistance of a wide range of paper grades. The instrument can also be used for determination of the behavior of paper under long term stress, as well as to determine the bending stiffness.
