Our company focused on tackling problems of EMS water couplings in 2003 a 2004, jumped out from ABBa s mode and worked out a brand new products using military technology. On June 2004, such product was firstly used in repaired ABBa s EMS in Hanzhou Steel. Since the application, no water penetration was found up to now. After that, we have put more than 120 water couplings in many repaired or researched products. The longest application time is one year and shortest one is 3 months. At present, no water penetration is occurred on any of them.
From the current trend, such couplings have shown the constant water penetration resistance, which exceed ABBa s level. However, the target value, i.e. 8 years application without penetration shall be approved as time goes on.

The metallurgical result of EMS for slab casting depends on amount of electromagnetic thrust, and thrust relies on the performance of EMS for slabs. At the present, there are three types of EMS used for slab casting, i.e. double-side traveling wave magnet field EMS, single-side traveling wave magnet field EMS and roller type traveling wave magnet field EMS. Our company has, for adapting market, actively developed inner bow single-side traveling wave magnet field EMS assembly for slab casting for Jiangyin Zhaoshun Stainless Steel Plate Mill.
