Alphamethrin 10% EC
Insecticide
Introduction
Alphamethrin 10% EC is a highly active alphamethrin based pyrethroid insecticide. It is a contact and stomach poison.
Recommendation for use
Recommended for control of cotton bollworms.
Bioefficacy
Application and storage recommendations take the required quantity of alphamethrin 10% EC, dilute it with a little water and sir well. Then add the remaining quantities of water as per spray volume required. Sir well to use spray. Use knapsack sprayer fitted with fine mist nozzle.

Time of application
Apply between 40 and 120 days after sowing.
Toxicity
Acute oral in Rat, LD50 : 170 mg/kg.
Precautions
Do not drink, eat or smoke while handling. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and mucous membrane. Do not use containers for any other purpose. Do not mix directly with hand and use a wooden stick for stirring the spray solution.
Symptoms of poisoning
Nervousness, anxiety, ataxia, convulsion and allergic manifestation.
First Aid Measures
Remove contaminated clothings and shoes immediately. If skin is contaminated wash throughly with soap and plenty of water. In case of eys splashes, flush eyes immediately with water for at least fifteen minutes. Refer to doctor or nearest hospital.
Antidote statement
If ingested, carry out gastric lavage with care to prevent asphyxiation, diphenylhydamoin or their mixture may be given. Treat symptomatically.
In case of allergy antihistamines may be given.
Storage and Transportation
Storage and transportation will be done in such a way that no foodstuff and animal feed be contaminated with. If leakage appears during transportation or storage, transport agency or storage owner should take necessary measure to prevent poisoning and pollution of soil and water. Store in original container away from foodstuff and animal feed in a cool place of wll built, dry, well lit and ventilated and o sufficient dimension under lock and key.
Disposal of Used Packages, Surplus Materials and Washings
Destroy and bury the empty container surplus materials and washings under 18" soil surface at a safe disposable site in non crop land and away from habitation, so as to prevent environmental or water pollution and contamination of animal feeds. Used containers shall not be kept outside for reuse.
