About Distilled Naphthenic Acid :

1. As solvents for rubber, to produce rubber compounds as a half-product for further use.
2. As one of the components in the manufacture of paint driers. Having an affinity with oil paints solvent, naphthenic acid is gently dissolved in them and added to oil-based paints as needed.
3. In production of lubricating and cooling fluids for engineering fluids of engineering machines. Thanks to the formation of a stable water emulsion, it lubricates the parts and prevents from heating during manufacture.
4. Some salts of naphthenic acids are used as homogeneous catalysts in oxidation reactions with metals of variable valence.
5. Aluminum salts contained in naphthenic acid are used in military industries as fuel thickener, for napalm production.
6. In petroleum industry, to produce emulsifiers, demulsifiers, antirust compositions and various additives to improve oil production and transportation, as naphthenic acids are good surfactants.
7. In production of fuels and lubricants, as one of the components in manufacture of additive components used in oils and fuels. For example: ET additive K1 for jet fuel, depressant for oils, etc.
8. In national economy, to manufacture special purpose soaps: wool washing, fibers, etc.
9. In chemical industry, as a component in manufacture of synthetic products of various purposes, mainly such as polyesters.
10. For the production of magnetic fluids in radio electronics.
