Features:

The IDMC-22 diamond core drill is the most efficient lightweight portable unit available for its rated capacity. This is an ideal machine for any type of diamond drilling and soil sampling in capacity up to 500 ft of NX Easily transported on the surface the drill can also be dismantled in to four compact units for convenient transportation to distant or inaccessible locations.

The IDMC-22 features direct drive through precision machine cut heat treated alloy steel gearing making possible standard spindle speeds from 235 to 1500 r.p.m and smooth rotation for high speed drilling. Hydraulic swivel-heads of A2 size for coring and soil sampling makes the machine versatile for all types of drilling. The optional provision of a cathead makes IDMC-22 even more versatile where heavy over-burdens have to be encountered.

Prime Mover

Electric motor 15 HP 440 volts 3 phase 500 c/s 1500 rpm alternatively Greaves/kirlosakar air cooled diesel engine 15 HP at 1500 rpm

Transmission

Four speed transmission between the prime mover and drill proper is direct to transmission shaft. The heavy duty four-speed transmission give a selection of four speeds for hoist swivel heads and cathead drives

Hoist

The hoist unit is located conveniently over the transmission in addition to the sliding gear type clutch to engage it with the transmission. The hoist has a built-in balanced planetary system to gearing with a band type clutch which provides the most sensitive control to the hoisting operation.

Mounting

The drill with power unit is mounted on a lightweight but strong structural steel skid frame provided with a set of properly aligned sheaves and rollers to enable the drill to move itself forward under its own power for short distances by use of its hoist and cable.

Swivel head

IDMC-22 is available with A2 size hydraulic feed swivel head optional chuck jaws and quill bushing can be used on these swivel-heads for E rods.

The hydraulic swivel head is operated by a built-in oil circulating system having capacity to develop up to 1000 P.S.I pressure.
