Key Components

1. Rod / Bolt

The sliding part that goes into the receiving clamp to lock the door.

It has a certain diameter (e.g. 12 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm) or gauge, and a length (e.g. 6-inch / 8-inch / 10-inch / 12-inch etc.).



2. Sheet or Body / Housing

Sometimes the aldrop is mounted on a backing sheet or plate. The sheet has thickness (e.g. 2-3 mm, sometimes up to 5 mm in heavy-duty or decorative models).

Designs vary: plain plate, a box designa , a 50-50 designa , or ornate / decorative designs (diamond pattern, laser finish, fancy clamps etc.).



3. Finish & Material

Made of stainless steel (various grades), often polished or with special coatings/finishes (mirror, chrome, matte / satin, antique brass etc.).

High corrosion / rust resistance is a must.
