These D.C. Motors have TEFC construction wit IP-44/IP-55 protection for use in humid environment and ambient up to 45 degree C. They can be operated with SCR and PWM drives.
These D.C. Motors are more compact, efficient and have higher starting torque compared to wound field motors. High coercively patented magnet are used to prevent demagnetization even in conditions, which involve frequent start-stops.
Brushes are externally replaceable with a vent provided for cleaning the commentator to improve the maintenance effectiveness.
