Brief description of the system.

Solventless silicon coating machines to manufacture release paper generally consists of three roll or five roll coating head. The multi roll coating head is used to coat paper or film with silicone material. The coat weight in these cases is generally 0. 7 to 1. 5 gsm and it is very essential to maintain the uniformity to a very high degree of accuracy. The high degree of accuracy is obtained by accurately designing the coating rolls and maintaining the relative speeds of these rolls at the specified ratios at all line speeds. The other main parts of the machine are chilling rolls, out feed nip drive and the most important of all the special rewinder.

The winder for release paper is a very special product of waveform control and the description of the same is given separately. incase of silicone coating cum gum coating machine an additional two roll coating head and a laminator is added in the machine. Additional tension controller for secondary unwind station and lamination unit is provided which is again based on loadcell feedback system. All the above drives along with accurate heating control system is supplied in a common panel and the important controls and indications of the machine are provided on the remote control boxes fitted on the machine.
