Functioning:
* Coal Pulverisers grind coal to a very fine powder
* Hot air from the Primary Air Fans dry coal in the pulverizers
* This air carries the dry coal powder from pulverizers to the burners in boiler furnace
* In burners coal powder is mixed with required amount of Combustion air & burned in the furnace
Air system:
* The advanced designs of the combustion burner ensure correct amount of air is delivered for combustion
* Use of forced draft fan for supplying of Combustion air
* This fan takes air from atmosphere & blows it into furnace through air ducts
* Air heater heats air before it enters the furnace
* Air Heater utilises heat of hot flue gases that leaves boilers to heat combustion air
* Hot air improves efficiency of combustion
* Air heater works on regenerative principle
