Description : Cilasafe consists of two components: (1) Imipenem, a derivative of thienamycin, a carbapenem antibiotic; and (2) Cilastatin sodium, a specific inhibitor of dehydropeptidase-I, a renal enzyme which metabolizes and inactivates imipenem.
Indications : Lower Respiratory Tract Infections, Urinary Tract Infections , Intra-Abdominal Infections, Gynecological Infections, Life-threatening infections (Septicemia, Endocarditis, Shock), Bone and Joint Infections, Polymicrobial infections.
Contra-Indications : Contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to any component of this product.
