This results in advantages in heat stability and viscosity for the unbranched material. These available products allow the vinyl formulating chemist or compounder to select material of carbon chain length ranging from about C9 to as high as C28 .The chlorination level is normally 42% to 70%. These materials can be used as high as 90% replacement of DOP. Now a days compounder processes PVC even without use of DOP /DBP with Chlorinated Paraffins as Plasticizer.Some compounder even use DBP in addition to Chlorinated Paraffins in different ratio depending upon economy and applications. Cyclic hydro carbons are usually residue products.
