These chain bucket elevators are vertically up conveyor equipped with buckets fitted on chain. The elevator moves in vertical closed path between two toothed wheels known as sprockets. Like belt bucket elevators, this elevator handle material by picking it up at the bottom and discharging at the upper end using gravity or centrifugal actions. These elevators are classified into two types namely Centrifugal Discharge or Continuous Discharge. These elevators are mostly used for heavy duty, large capacity, big height, nonabrasive material and large lumps. As per the requirement of clients, the chain bucket elevators are available with single strand and double strand construction.
