Talk about agriculture and related topics like soil and monsoon, and you would find the mention of seeds in an altogether different sense. You may be wondering what is new in it, seeds are obviously the precursors of a grown up plant and thus, they should be talked about. But what we really miss here is, that despite the vitality of seeds, either natural or the artificially reared ones, a few characteristics decide whether it would spawn a healthy plant or would die altogether buried in the soil, as seed quality decides whether the yield would be good or incur loss. And since seeds are the only source of a secure food supply, optimum care and upkeep has to be undertaken to store and treat them accordingly.
