Broken Bag Detector(Dusty)


Dusty was designed to dependably monitor the clean sides after filters for filter breaks without any delay.


The application of Broken Bag Detection(Dusty) is in metal channels wherein the detection of dust particles in flowing gas is required. The operational range of the Dusty starts at 0.1 mg/m3 dust volume. The "Dusty DustEx 22 type can be used in systems with the explosion hazard area zone 22. Its speed and reliability are suitable for its optimal use as a secondary option and/or expansion to the "police filter". Apart from this, it can also be used as a second option to the differential pressure measurement.

The working of the Dusty is on the basis of triboelectric effect. A charge transfer takes place immediately when the particles either impact or flow past the measuring probe. This results in generation of a measuring signal, which then triggers a switch contact, once the standard values are exceeded. These standard values are described under the "System".

This filter monitor works on a triboelectric basis. Its features are:
