Since Rig Vedic times, handloom weaving has flourished in the city of Banaras, reaching its pinnacle under the Mughals, when shimmering silk brocades known as a kinkhwaba were created in the most delicate floral and arabesque designs.

Handwoven signature silk brocade, creates a shimmery with two complementary colours in the warp and weft. Marigold motifs are created using metallic zari threads.
