The band not only helps in even distribution of load among the belts but also prevents twisting of belts in the pulley. The maximum 5 belts are recommended under one band.
Banded belts includes sections as HA, HB, HC, HD, HSPZ, HSPA, HSPB, HSPC, H3V, H5V and H8V. The standards followed are ISO 5290, ISO 5291 and BS 3790.
These belts are best suited to sustain severe vibrations, extreme shock loads and pulsating loads.
