Mild Steel formed and welded aprons are bolted to side bar link chain at short pitch and in overlapping profile, achieving a continuous conveying surface.
The apron and chain combination is supported on outboard Rollers at close spacing enabling a low movement resistance and a guided path while traveling on inclined profile.
Terminal sprockets have profile machined teeth and heat treated contact zone for economical life.
Operating speed is limited by experience and higher capacities are achieved using higher sidewalls welded to the aprons in conjunction with partition plates.
These equipment are often used as cooling or feeding machines in advance of Belt Conveyors as the capital cost is relatively higher than other types of conveyors.
