These Antistatic filter fabric is used in case of dusts which are prone to generation of static charge and because of the poor electrical conductivity of synthetic filter media can lead to the build up of high amount of electrical charge.
The filter media for handling such dusts is constructed by incorporating electrically conductive fibers generally stainless steel (SS) into the felt which is done by blending a small percentage of these fibers with the parent fibers or by using a conductive scrim which is woven with yarns containing SS wire.
