4. Product description : Amygdalin/Laetrile is a phytochemical derived from the seeds of various fruits, including apricots and bitter almonds. It has been used in cancer treatment in humans worldwide. It was first isolated in 1830 and was used as an anticancer agent in Russia as early as 1845. Its first recorded use in the US as a treatment for cancer was in the 1920s. In the 1950s, this product got patent in US. In 1970s, this product gained popularity as a single anticancer agent and as a part of a metabolic therapy programme consisting of a special diet, high-dose vitamin supplements, and pancreatic enzymes.
