A brake motor isa brake and motor package that is typically bolted together via mating C-face
flanges. It, too, generates stop and hold action, but it also generates motion.
The motor is typically ac induction or dc, but servo and step motors can also
be used. This article focuses on alternating current and direct current motors.
Brake motors are
constantly in use, whether you notice them or not. These motors allow equipment
and vehicles to slow down or stop completely. Without them, you wouldn't be
able to stop your vehicle at a red light, stop sign, or slow down when turning.
The brake is made up of either a DC or an AC unit that is attached to the
non-drive end of the motor. There is a brake coil in a DC brake that is fed
into the motor and will automatically switch to the AC motor supply.
Working
Principle of Brake Motor:
The braking
motor is a completely enclosed fan-cooled squirrel cage with an additional disc
type DC brake 3-phase asynchronous motor, DC disc brake for braking motor
installed in the non motor shaft extension end of the end cover. When the brake
motor gains access to power, the brake motor also operates at the same time.
Because of the electromagnetic suction electromagnet's role in attracting the
armature and the compression spring, the brake disc on the armature end cover
disengaged, and the brake motors began to operate. When the power supply is cut
off, the motor braking electromagnet loses its magnetic suction spring, which
pushes the armature to compress the brake disc, and the motor brake immediately
stops running; our factory also produces corresponding dej double speed motors.
Its operation is
as follows: when the brake motor is activated, the motor brakes by 220V AC
rectifying get 198V direct current, then the armature is an electromagnetic
attraction so that the brake disc is in a rotating state, and the brake motor
can freely rotate. When the electric motor's braking electromagnet is
activated, the armature immediately springs to withstand, the brake disc and
the motor's rear pressing together, and the cover stops turning.
