About Venue
Welcome to the Parade Ground in Chandigarh, it is one of the largest open grounds located in sector 17 of Chandigarh, India. It is considered a popular venue for various events including cultural programs and sports events.
It also provides a seat capacity of around 70,000 people which makes it one of the largest open-air venues in the city. It is also surrounded by various private and government buildings, including the Haryana And Punjab High Court and the Legislative Assembly.
This parade ground is also used for the annual Independence Day and Republic Days Parades as well as for the International Yoga Day celebrations. Till now it has hosted many international trade fairs, exhibitions, events and trade expo including the National Games and the Youth Commonwealth Games. Overall, we can say that it is an important landmark in the Chandigarh City and it is also serving as a venue for various activities and events which bring together people from different walks of life.
