Black Phenyl 

Black Phenyl is a disinfectant which is used in to kill germs and micro-organisms mostly inhabited lavatories, drains and other places where dirt of filth is allowed to get accumulated. With an adequate addition of water Black Phenyl is either directly poured on the floor and ground or soaked in clothes that are used for cleaning purposes. Black Phenyl is available in different flavours that leave a pleasant odour and hygienic atmosphere.

Properties of Black Phenyl:

The preparation of Black Phenyl is based on phenolic chemistry, for instance, phenols are used as disinfectants and antiseptics. It was Joseph Lister who, in 1865, developed disinfectant with carbolic acid derived from coal tar followed by William Pearson developed a mixture of creosote dissolved in soap that he called creolina. In Black Phenyl, water is the most frequently used ingredient, for example, a final solution of Black Phenyl contains 64.5% of water. For preparing Black Phenyl, light creosote oil or creolina is mixed into water and slowly stirred for some time. If Black Phenyl is prepared that is of 5litre, then 3.225 litre of water is added to 125 millilitres of chloroxylenol and 650 millilitres of creosote oil and 1 litre of soap solution.

Uses of Black Phenyl:

Black Phenyl is applied for cleaning purposes in hospitals, animal farms, military establishments, hotels and housing apartments.
