An automatic light sensor is an unpowered gadget that sends an electrical signal when it detects light. Photoelectric devices often known as light sensors are used to detect and measure electromagnetic radiation (light or photons) (electrons). It is equipped with a motion detector that electronically activates the lights whenever any warm object including people animals and automobiles passes through its range of vision. Photoelectric sensors can tell whether an object is present or not by shining a light on it. From its light-emitting element it sends out a ray of light (either visible or infrared). The target's reflection is picked up by a photoelectric sensor of the reflecting variety.
