Abrasive cleaners are used to remove tough stains of soils. These when applied to a surface remove dirt stains tarnish rust hard water deposits etc. Such soils are scraped off from the surface where abrasive chemicals are applied. Abrasive cleaners can be wet or dry depending on the surface to be cleaned.
