Q. How is lactic acid produced?
Answer
Lactic acid is produced by fermentation of carbohydrates performed by lactic acid bacteria. It converts carbohydrate sources like glucose, lactose, or sucrose – made by plants & algae, to lactic acid. I can also be produced by chemical synthesis.
