Gently wipe the nozzle plate with a wet, lint-free cloth drenched in isopropyl alcohol until some ink is pulled out and absorbed into the fabric. Make sure the gold electrical connections at the back are free of lint and pen smudges. Make sure the cartridge is dry before putting it back into the printer. Cleaning the nozzle plate and/or the back electrical connections can enhance print quality for a cartridge with an integrated ink system. To disinfect a cloth or wipe, use just isopropyl alcohol or de-ionized water. White streaks might appear in the printed text or graphic if the nozzles are allowed to dry out or become clogged.
