Q. How do reciprocating air compressors work?
Answer
Reciprocating air compressors intake atmospheric air through inlet into a cylinder where compression takes place. Its function is to compress the air while increasing the pressure until a pre-determined limit is reached. Compressed air is then stored in a storage tank and is discharged at high pressure.
