Q. How do hot metal detectors work?
Answer
Hot metal detectors detect infrared energy of hot products like steel. When the object temperature rises or drops in respect to a preset threshold limit they provide switching signal. It detects IR energy through lens system and then translate into a small electrical signal resulting in beep sound or/and visual graphics.
