Q. How can we trace that the water pump bearing is getting damaged?
Answer
Water pump bearing protects the impeller shaft and also prevents the leakage of coolant from engine. If this component seems to be getting damaged, it makes a squealing sound as if pump parts are coming in contact with each and creating friction. Moreover, bad water pump bearing can be identified by the leakage of coolant from the backside or bottom of water pump.
