Q. How a plastic pipe and a GI pipe are different?
Answer
GI pipes are galvanized iron pipes. Galvanizing is a process by which a layer of zinc is added to the iron pipes for enhancing resistance to corrosion and rusting. Plastic pipes are cheaper than GI pipes. Plastic pipes provide more flexibility in plumbing and piping works. GI pipes are used for heavy duty applications than plastic pipes.
