Zoledronic Acid for Injection is widely used for the treatment of high blood calcium levels which is also known as hypercalcemia. This condition usually occurs with cancer. In addition, it is also used along with other cancer chemotherapy medicines for the treatment of bone problems that may occur with multiple myeloma and other types of cancer such as breast and lung that have spread to the bones. This medicine belongs to a class of drugs called bisphosphonates. It works by lowering down the high blood calcium levels. It is done by reducing the amount of calcium that is released from your bones into your blood.
