These Xerox OPC Drums resist wear and oxidation in the process significantly longer than the congenital techniques available in market. OPC used in the drums are the photoconductors, manufactured from organic (carbon-based) chemical compounds. Critical components of printer or copier, these drums impact the image printing performance considerably. After the OPC drum is charged, a laser light is exposed on imaging area of the drum to discharge the surface potential. In result, an image is formed on the OPC drum by toner adhering to the drum surface due to the difference in the electrical potential.
