What is Silence? During 1979, a few physically challenged persons and deaf individuals joined hands regarding collective activities to promote socioeconomic uplift for the differently-able. The result was Silence, an artisan organization that has provided responsiveness, social and economic rehabilitation for the deaf and physically challenged for last four decades. Silence is an organization in India, where physically challenged men and women produce export-quality eco-friendly handicraft items, and the income thus generated helps their both ends meet. Silence Staffs and Artisans are usually Deaf, Mute, Blind, Orthopaedically or Mentally Challenged.
