Polygon Turning Attachment
also has L bracket that helps in easy mounting on the lathe machine and
has 6 pocket standard cutter along with a tie rod to mount cutter
extra accessories that it is outfitted with are lever operated quick
change collects chuck C-25 or C-40, hand operated 3 jaws self centering
chuck 100 capacity and standard cartridges
If
we mount one cartridge on the pocket provided on cutter it will strike
the job twice in one rotation as such one tool will make two flats in
one stroke without indexing. The size of A/F can be achieved by giving a
desired dept of cut by moving cross slide just like lathe. Length of
flat can be done by using auto feed or manually of longitudinal travel.
Similarly if we mount two tools then directly a square will be cut in one stroke.
For Hex mount three tools.
For octagon- mount four tools.
Like this up to 12 nos. of flats can be cut in one stroke without indexing.
To
make slot on face special groove tool is used which can be mounted on
face of cutter. In this case job is brought at the centre of the face of
slot tool and plunge for depth of slot. If we put one tool it will be
one straight slot on face. Like that two or three slots can be made at a
time.
Uneven number of flat like one flat, triangle (3), Pentagon (5), heptagon (7) is cut in one stroke without indexing.
These attachments are supplied as per requirement. We provide this with Collet chuck as well.
