Two Way Line Jack Unit

Line Jack Unit provides the termination point to the exchange line just before the instrument. It replaces the rosette of 3-pin socket. Two versions of Line Jack Units, Viz. Primary and secondary jacks, exist. Primary Line Jack provides diagnostic and surge voltage protection facilities, whereas the Secondary Line Jack Unit is without these facilities. The Line Jack Unit (LJU) is used for terminating Telephone Exchange line and any other voice/non-voice equipment at Subscribers premises and replace conventional plug/socket and rosette.
The LJU mainly consists of an ABS moulded box accommodating a PCB and a socket. The socket Profile is made to accommodate a plug of ISO standard with self locking shutter.
