Tension Controller Cum Web Guide in a single module enable the complete control of unwind unit. This cost effective unit can be upgraded to perform the function of a zero speed splicer. The controller takes input from load cell, dancer arm, encoder. the output can be 0-10v analog output for pneumatic brake system, 0-24v output for magnetic brake and PWM output for other control module. The different outputs for the tension controller and the web guiding devices enable the unit to be used either as tension controller, web guide controller or both. The module is very easy to operate since there is a large graphic display and flexible keyboard. Operation is simple and can be interfaced to the existing brakes and motion controllers with linear guides. Replacement to existing systems is suitable and cost effective. Interface to remote unit helps in quick crrection of values. The unit can be interfaced to industrial PC on RS422 port and integrated into machine control device.
