DESCRIPTION:
Tara powder is obtained from the fruit (pod), then separate the seeds by threshing process, and fine grinding, with adequate supervision to control the Granulometry and iron content.

USES:
Due to its tannins contained, Tara is useful in the tanning and furriery industry. The tannins contain practically no coloring substances and therefore give very bright, light-resistant leather. It can be used alone or blended with others tannins to ensure the properties of them and to obtain special effects in the finished leather through tanning combined, mixed or re-tanning. It is used for vegetable tanning of ovine and reptilea s pelts.
To part of its capacity of fullness it offers a clear coloration than the rest of vegetables used in the tanning representing skins of a pure much closer, a soft tact, coupled with minimum content of 50% tannins, make it irreplaceable in modern tanning tanning techniques and retannage.
