The machine shown in adjuscent photograph is specially designed & manufactured for our client who is a automobile manufacturer in India. The machine is used to make the 8.3 mm x 165 mm deep drilled and 20 mm deep tapped hole in to a crank case.The hole is at 20 degree inclined to the sump face. The machine can accomodate all 2 3 & 4 cylinder crank case. The special features of the machine includes hydraulic part clamping part seat checkcycle selector switch with interlock for 23 & 4 cylinder crank case locator pin breakage safety interlock VFD for drilling spindle rotation drill feeding is with wood pecking by ball screw & nut assembly driven by servo motor tapping spindle driven by servo motor Hydraulic index slide below drilling & tapping spindles PLC controls in short a special purpose but flexible machine.
