Applications:
Suncol finishes are generally applied on the winches, Jiggers or by spraying into the goods. The required concentration depends on the material in question to handle the desired squeezing effect of the padding mangle. The finishing effect can be varied by combining the product with other finishing agents or softeners. The temperature of the finishing solution should be between 20-70 deg. C depending on the wetting capacity of the goods. In the case of woven fabrics, it may be applied in the sizing bath. The finishing solutions should be stirred from time to time to avoid any possibility of setting out.

The drying temperature should not be below 80 deg. C. The stiffness of the finished fabric and its fastness to washing increases as the drying temperature increases. The drying is preferably carried out on hot-air-sterner. When working on a cylinder drying machine care must be taken that the material is well squeezed out before drying and that the first few cylinders are wrapped with cloth. The temperature for calendaring should not exceed 60 deg. C. Otherwise the product turns out to be of thermoplastic nature and might get deposited on the calendaring rollers.
