- Chemical Property : Acidity as H2SO4 98.5 +/- 0.5% Ash residue on ignition % by weight 0.02 Iron as (FE) ppm 50. Arsenic as (As203) ppm 20. Lead as (Pb) ppm 20. Chlorine as (Cl) ppm 50. Oxidisable impurities as (SO2) by wt. 0.004.
- Most of this is consumed for fertilizers
- Used in chemical industry for production of detergents, synthetic resins, dyestuffs, pharmaceuticals, petroleum catalysts, insecticides and antifreeze, as well as in various processes such as oil well acidicizing, aluminium reduction, paper sizing, water treatment
- Uses are related to pigments and include paints, enamels, printing inks, coated fabrics and paper, and the rest is dispersed into a multitude of applications such as production.
