Mold growth in feed is always a major concern in poultry. Mold growth gets accelerated with improper storage, presence of moisture at ambient temperatures. Mycotoxins which are metabolites of fungi cause severe damage to functional organs of farm animals and thereby result in economic losses. In this scenario prevention of mold formation to avoid mycotoxin production would be a better strategy along with irreversible binding of residual mycotoxins present in the feed.
STEP Choice is a synergistic combination of broad spectrum mold inhibitor oxine copper which is potentiated by herbal copper chelate, polyphenols, natural antioxidants and buffered organic acids.

Oxine copper works through highly active half chelate after entering cells of mold and fungus
Herbal actives chelated with copper boosts the activity of oxine copper and avoids resistance development.
Buffered organic acids selected possess broader range of dissociation constants providing broader and deeper activity. They can easily penetrate the bacterial cell wall and disrupt the normal cellular functions including replication and protein synthesis of bacteria.
Natural polyphenols and antioxidants provide additional power to deactivate metallo-enzymes of molds and fungus and strengthens liver to deactivate mycotoxins.
Activated Bentonite binds residual mycotoxins, if any.
STEP Choice inhibits molds at all stages of their life cycle including spore germination, growth initiation and mycelia growth. It is also beneficial in minimizing the production of mycotoxins like aflatoxin, citrinin and ochratoxin.
