These are produced in chemical plants. Some of the raw materials used are butadiene, styrene, isoprene, chloroperene and propylene. The two parameters on which different forms of synthetic rubbers can be made are quantity and type of monomer used. The commercially important synthetic rubber reclaim are SR Butyl and SR EPDM.
