Spirafuge Filters Application: Industrial

Spirafuge Liquid Filters : Standard liquid filteration is done by passing flow of liquid at 90 to the filter media and also the filteration is generally from inside to outside.  Spirafuge Liquid filteration adopts a flow path parallel to the filter media, due to this the clean liquid passes through the media whilst the sediments (retentate ) is held in suspension around the annular space until it slowly settles at the bottom of the shell body. Particulates do not stick to the filter media.  The filtrate passes through the media and finally exits through the outlet nozzle provided as per different orientation reqd. The retentate particles can be blown down from the drain provided at the bottom during operation.No need for shutdown to clean the filter element. This saves downtime of the filteration process for extended periods.   In case of heavy loading we have filters without media, no need to open shell body to clean the insides. Just blowdown the entire shell or maintain a continuous blowdown which is taken to a sludge tank. In marine applications where sea water is used for cooling the auxilliaries, this filter is provided with a continuous blowdown back to sea.
